AFEI regular and exceptional meetings of the general assembly were held in Cairo on 10-11/5/2008 and chaired by Mr.Nabil Farid Hassanein/AFEI Chairman of the BOD.
The opening session of the regular meeting of the general assembly talked about the conception of how rival companies can work together under the federation’s umbrella towards harmonizing and enhancing the business environment in the region as well as encouraging the intra-regional trade, the idea of conducting an annual conference on a topic of common interest, and the role of AFEI in coordinating the industrial activity in the Arab countries.
The exceptional meeting of the general assembly was dedicated to discuss and agree on amendments to the AFEI bylaw which were formulated by a designated committee based on suggestions of some members.
